Budapest Photo Walk
For whom: Beginner and intermediate photographers interested in city and street photography
Itinerary: Castle hill and Gellért hill – photogenic scenes
Other, individually tailor itineraries are also possible
Departure: Batthány Square metro station
Camera: Any make with tripod, if possible but not a must.
Party: Max 12 persons but individual walks are also possible
Option: Photo evaluation – 1 hour, EUR 10 per person
Weather: This is an all weather walk except in truly adverse conditions. In such a situation participants shall be notified a few hours before departure.
Description: This walk takes you up to Castle Hill through the back streets that give you wonderful views of the Pest side and a glimpse into this historic and atmospheric part of the city. The idea is to avoid cliche photography and attempt to create interesting compositions. We shall try our hand at street photography in the Castle District. Every participant shall receive technical and composition support. Hints at how to take characteristic shots of people. We shall evaluate each other’s pictures at the back end of the walk in a cafe – an option for those who wish to stay on and can bear some constructive criticism.
Booking conditions:
- Walks will not start unless there are at least 4 participants who paid their fees 24 hours before the walk is to commence. In case there is no minimum number of participants those who have registered and paid shall be notified by email and refunded. Please check your email the day before.
- Although the walks are light they involve stairs and uphill walking. Those who have heart or lung conditions please consider if this is for you. We shall take no responsibility for the unlikely physical injuries or health issues during the walk.
- In case of inclement weather during the day we shall notify you by email or by phone to discuss alternatives.
Payment options:
By bank transfer or PayPal. After your registration, we will send all the necessary details via email. The reservation will become final upon receipt of the participation fee. You may pay on departure however due to the limit on the group’s size paying in advance is a good idea.
