Photo trip to Transylvania

With an English friend of mine I embarked on a photo tour to Transylvania. We went to for a week, saw less than half of what’s worth seeing but still enjoyed it thoroughly. Romania has made tremendous progress; accomodation, infrastucture and food places all exceeded our expectations. We had plenty of subjects to take pictures of, the photos attached provide a real account. Our models were kind and readily available. We even noticed that some of them wear local costumes and not only in small villages. Not unlike in most places around the world tourism has mostly become domestic. At the same time, we hear that several travel agents promote Transylvania as a hidden gem of European travel destinations. If – maybe next year – the pandemic dies down this area will surely be swamped by international visitors. It makes sense to go before this happens.
